HIPAA & CONFIDENTIAL FREIGHT HANDLING STATEMENT

Effective Date: July 30, 2026

Ingenious Business Solutions LLC provides medical courier services — including the transport of laboratory specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, records, and equipment — for hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and other healthcare organizations. This statement describes how IBS approaches privacy and confidentiality in medical and sensitive freight operations.

No PHI Collected Through This Website

IBS does not collect, request, or store patient medical records or protected health information (PHI) through this website. Website forms are for business inquiries, quotes, and applications only. Please do not submit patient information through this Site.

HIPAA in Our Courier Operations

  • Where IBS transports items containing PHI on behalf of a covered entity or business associate, IBS performs those services under the applicable service agreement and, where required, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
  • Drivers handling medical shipments are trained on confidentiality, proper specimen handling, and the importance of not accessing, reading, or disclosing the contents of shipments.
  • IBS does not open, review, or use the contents of sealed medical shipments except as necessary to perform the service or as required by law.

Chain of Custody and Handling Standards

  • Scan-based tracking at pickup and delivery to maintain shipment accountability.
  • Signature and delivery confirmation protocols appropriate to the shipment type.
  • Temperature-appropriate and time-critical handling for specimens and pharmaceuticals as specified by the client.
  • Secure vehicle practices, including keeping shipments attended or secured during transport.

Confidential Business Freight

The same confidentiality discipline applies to non-medical sensitive freight — legal documents, financial records, and proprietary business materials. Contents are not disclosed, and delivery records are shared only with the parties to the shipment.

Incident Reporting

Suspected loss, tampering, or unauthorized disclosure involving a medical or confidential shipment is escalated immediately to management and reported to the affected client in accordance with our service agreements and applicable law.
